Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to lead our Boutique team and help continue to drive excellence and success at Walker Boutique! The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and gift retail, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong ability to manage daily operations effectively. As the Boutique Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team of sales associates and ensuring an outstanding customer experience while achieving sales targets and maintaining the boutique's visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the boutique, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
• Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems (Shopify) for transaction processing and inventory management.
• Lead, train, and develop staff through effective employee orientation and ongoing training programs.
• Foster a positive team environment by motivating employees and promoting teamwork.
• Implement sales strategies to achieve targets while negotiating with vendors for optimal product pricing.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including daily cash reconciliation.
• Monitor payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding store policies, promotions, and performance expectations.
• Ensure the boutique is visually appealing and aligned with brand standards.

Skills

• Proven leadership abilities with at least 1 year in a retail management or junior management position.
• Strong skills in shift management / staff scheduling.
• Proficient in using POS systems for sales transactions and inventory tracking.
• Ability to sell products effectively while providing exceptional customer service.
• Experience in training development to enhance team performance and knowledge.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.
• Competent in cash handling procedures to maintain financial accuracy.
